I received a FandyFire 2100 flashlight from DX.com. Two years ago I bought an Ultrafire C1 as per laserpointerforums’ members recommendations and thus here is my unbiased review and comparison of the two units:

Disclaimer: This article is loaded with 23 images so it may take a while to load. All pictures were taken with a Nikon D90 18-105mm f/3,5-5,6 lens, using +4 and +8 lenses for the macro shots. I’m very sorry for the chromatic aberration introduced on macro shots but it’s physically impossible to eliminate chromatic aberration. All pics were retouched with Photoshop CS5 and optimized for visibility and fast loading on forums so they may have noise and artifacts due to compression and forced lighting. Beam profile and beamshots were tweaked with Photoshop CS5 in order to show how bright I see the lights with my bare eyes.
Shipping & Packaging:

Standard DealExtreme EMS shipping, took about 1,5 months to get here (Argentina). No big deal, I can be patient, especially if it’s free shipping. The unit was excessively wrapped in bubble-wrap so that’s a plus; in consequence the flashlight arrived in perfect condition. No scratches, no marks, no nothing.
FandyFire 2100 Review:
Body & Feel:

When I first lifted the package, it seemed only air was in it. Indeed, the flashlight is very light and very small. The downside to this is that due to its high brightness emitter, the body head gets hot easily. During the filming of the video I used the FandyFire 2100 to light surrounding areas of the Ultrafire C1 and viceversa. I ran it for about 60′ nonstop and the flashlight was quite hot to the touch (it wasn’t scalding hot but it’s definitely not something you would want to hold for long). However, keep in mind that 60′ of continuous runtime is a lot for the thin aluminum the flashlight sports. For short (3-5′) bursts, the FandyFire 2100 is just great.

The tailcap is well constructed; I like the fact that they didn’t use a spring on it, because all it does is scratch the battery’s surface whenever you screw/unscrew the tailcap.

GITD (Glow In The Dark) caps are happily welcome, too! Watch out for some rough edges on the tailcap’s bezel.

Now, I know you all want to see the innards of this baby, but the guys at FandyFire decided to use a more secure way to hold the LED assembly and for this reason I couldn’t open the head fully. I don’t own nose pliers… Although I did try to turn the inside ring with two steel nails to no avail.

By now you should know that I love shooting macro pictures. This one was really hard to take, the reflector is deep and perfectly smooth.

If you really care about attack bezels, well, the FandyFire has one, but I wouldn’t trust it to fight a bear. I’ll leave that to Anthony Hopkins.
Some would argue that the threads don’t go all the way, but I seriously do not care for attack bezels. I’m pretty sure no one would use a flashlight to stab anything and I wouldn’t recommend it either.

Unfortunately, as said in the video review, threads are not very smooth. However, that can easily be solved with some lube or teflon tape. Definitely not something to cry about.

I believe they could’ve used thicker O-Rings. Despite their size, as long as they keep the tailcap on (which they successfully do), it won’t matter. The purpose of this flashlight is not for you to go diving with it, so even though I mention the O-Ring size issue, I can’t complain about it.

Ultrafire C1 Review:
Body & Feel:

I’m so grateful LPF recommended I got this flashlight back in early 2009. The build quality is just amazing for its price. Good design and nice weight (not too heavy, not too light) make for a great grip when you hold it.

Don’t like the belt clip? Sorry, but it can’t be removed. However, don’t worry, it’s unobtrusive (trust me, I hate belt clips… but I don’t really notice this one). The head is bigger than the height of the clip and its polygonal shape keeps it from rolling off the table.

The tailcap has a recessed backwards clicky switch which provides a satisfactory “clicky” sound whenever you press it. Did I mention it’s built like a tank?

You have to screw it all the way through so the battery makes contact with the spring. This is good, since given the tailcap’s length, it doesn’t force you to wiggle the tailcap in order to fit it in the threads.

Threads are outrageously smooth. Thick O-Rings seal shut the whole assembly.

This flashlight is a great flooder but that doesn’t mean that its throw isn’t enough. The Orange Peel reflector does its job as it should.

Want another emitter? Want another reflector? No problem! www.dx.com sells many LED assemblies that can fit the Ultrafire C1. Opening the head is easy so light modding is easy as well.

Conclusion:

The FandyFire 2100 is seriously bright. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw how far it could go. Due to its size, sadly, it gets hot quickly. However, as I said in the video, the temperature is not enough to burn your skin.
The Ultrafire C1 is a great travel companion. The Q5 emitter is bright enough for a walk in the dark without draining your battery rapidly. Again, this flashlight offers great battery life and an amazing duty cycle.

If you want a very portable, lightweight yet bright flashlight and don’t mind relatively short duty cycles, the FandyFire 2100 is for you.
If you, instead, would rather use your flashlight for longer periods of time, hate to recharge batteries and can do with some light spilling, the Ultrafire C1 is your best option. Furthermore, if you want a great host body to mod with a brigter emitter bin, you should also go for the Ultrafire C1.

All in all, both flashlights would make a wise choice. Either the FandyFire 2100 and the Ultrafire C1 will not disappoint you in any way, especially not at their low price, taking into account the fact that build quality on both of them is just outstanding.

I have recently received this wonderful SanDisk SD micro SD memory card as an extension to my Android Tablet PC. I have ordered it on March 18th and it came to me on April 19th. Although it took more than 4 weeks to arive I am really happy with it and it was worth waiting. SDHC card was shipped after 2 or 3 days after I placed an order so I think it was pretty fast. I chose standard post service so I did not receive the tracking number but actually there was no need for it, because I always receive what I order from DX.com. This item was packed in a standard yellow DX envelope. Here’s the picture of it:

Micro SD card with its adapters was safely placed in the palstic protective case which is in fact very comfortable and handy to carry it with you. Here it is taken out of the envelope:

This case is very easy to open as well as close again if needed. It looks like it is waterproof so you can carry it with yourself without fear that it can drop on the ground or get wet because of rain.

This micro SD card size is standard: 15 mm × 11 mm × 1.0 mm. The Mini SD adapter size measurments are 21.5 mm × 20 mm × 1.4 mm and SD card – 32 mm × 24 mm × 2.1 mm. This particular microSD card has a speed class 4. Although it is not the fastest microSD card of them all it is still quite good and fast. 4th class indicates the minimum write speed of 4 MB/s. This type of memory cards can be used in mobile phones, cameras, mp3/4 players, tablet pc’s and many more other devices.

All three items are very easily removed from the case. There is no need to break something or use sharp objects to help you. In the picture below you can easily compare sizes of micro SD card ant its adapters.

Have tried to check how this card works with my Android Tablet PC. I have put it in the right microSD card slot, and it was immediately recognized by the device. After few seconds of preparing it it was ready to use for anything you may need or want. You can store pictures, photos, movies, music, documents and other files and records. I have tried copying files into it and from it and I must say the speed is really good. It is even better and faster than some of my USB flash memory sticks.

As I made sure the microSD card itself is working without any issues, it was now time to test the adapters:

Have checked it by inserting the card into laptop’s SD card memory slot. And it is brilliant. Card fitted without any difficulties and was recognized by my PC immediately (I use Windows 7 Operating System):

Have also checked the adapter to mini SD. Micro SD card went inside with ease but unfortunately I had no devices which support Mini SD card format at that moment so had no opportuinity to test its functionality. But it is not an issue because I am sure miniSD card adapter will be usefull in future when I get some devices with miniSD card slot. So as you may see this item is very useful and worth buying it. I did not find any bad things about it, only pros. Now I am using this card to extend the memory of my Android tablet and it works very well so far. I hope it will do the same in future. So if you really need this good quality device with perfect functionality, SanDisk micro SD card with adapters is the best choice for this price. I would recommend it for everyone who searches for some microSD memory cards.

I have just bought this wonderful Car Cigarette Powered Dual USB adapter/charger for USB devices. This device came in a standard DX envelope. Here’s the picture of it below:

It was safely packed in the transparent plastic back to prevent it from any outside damage. Here’s the picture of it taken out of the envelope:

It looks very solid, strong and made of high quality plastic. It has 2 USB ports which is awesome for charging 2 devices at one time in your car. And the size of this item is amazing. When you put it in the car cigarette lighter socket it looks like it was already integrated in the car pannel from the start. Although it might be little difficult to pull it out because of it’s size, but it is not really a con because I don’t take it out very often.

I tried it to check how it work and I must say it is great! Cables fit in it just fine and it is easy to plug it in and out:

And there is nothing more to add about it. It works perfectly, is a very handy thing which can be used all the time while being in car or driving long distances and also for very good price! I would reccomend it for everyone who needs a car cigarette lighter USB charger with 2 USB ports!

Here’s my new keychain flashlight I just bought and received from Dealextreme. This usefull tiny flashlight came in a standard DX envelope. You may see the envelope in the picture below:

I’ve taken it out and that’s how it really looks like:

This small flashlight can be easily attached to your keys and used in different situations when you need some light. It’s size is really small and it is very comfortable to carry it anywhere with you:

There are 2 3V CR2016 batteries inside of it. You can easily unscrew 4 tiny screws and replace them if needed. Lets take a closer look at this thing:

It’s LED diode is very bright and I actually thought it would be dimmer, but when i received it I was surprised. It was very bright even in the daytime!That’s how it looks turned on in the picture below:

If you need a very bright, cheap and compact keychain flashlight you simply have to buy it! I would say it is a great, useful and high quality thing. I would reccomend it for everybody!

I’ve just bought and received my new item from Dealextreme. This usefull micro USB to standard USB cable charger for cellphone was packed inside the standard DX envelope. You may see the envelope in the picture below:

This cable was safely packed in the plastic bag inside the envelope to prevent any damage from the outside:

That’s how it looks taken out of the plastic bag. It is made of high qulity material (rubber or plastic) and feels very solid. It does not feel like it could break easily.The cable is also tied with some additional wires which makes it compact and tidy. We can also see that it has some filter close to the micro USB end which is very useful to prevent any data loss or interference with other devices, cables etc.

Have rolled it out and it does really look very long. That’s why it is so convenient to use itin your car, with your laptop or anywhere else where you need flexibility while charging your cellphone or other device with micro USB port:

Have checked it and I can say it is working and charging my phone, GPS, tablet and other devices just as it should. I do not see any cons of this items.
To sum up, I would say it is a great, useful and high quality thing for the really small amount of money. I would reccomend it for everyone and am planning to buy some more for my friends as well.

Here’s my new thing I ordered from DealExtreme. My car’s light bulbs have recently gone down so I decided to try these nice looking Philips Diamond Vision white light headlamps.

I have ordered them on March 19th and the package came to me on April 22nd. It took more than month to arrive as usualy but it is ok because all items I order are being shipped from 4 to 5 weeks so I assume it is normal for my location. I now have these bulbs and decided to write a review of them. The order was placed as mentioned on 19th of March and was shipped on 21st of March.

This item was safely packed in a cardboard box. Here’s the picture of it:

Inside the box there was a couple of Philips headlamp bulbs packed in the original manufacturer packaging. They were packed safely to prevent any possible damage during transportation

That’s how both bulbs look taken out of the package. They have this slightly blue colour glass which gives some blueish effect while headlamps are on in the car, but that’s OK. Light looks more like from xenon bulbs.

By the way iIt is extremely important not to touch the glass side of these bulbs with your bare hands or not to put any dirt on them. You should clean them carefuly if touched before installing in the car. Dirt may cause them burn out very quickly so keep it in mind. So I usually take them on the metal part:

You can take a look at the closer picture from the front. Light bulbs look nice and are built of high quality metal and glass. Am not sure if their lifetime will be verylong. If these bulbs are genuine ones, than they should function very well and for a long time. Time will show. Bulbs look identical to the original ones so I hope it is the original. I used to have the original Philips but the price was way too big, so I decided to try these from DX.com. Price is really attractive!

The picture below shows the other end of both bulbs. It is written that those are made in Germany, maybe, who knows.. The connector is standard H7 confirmed. It fits car’s bulb socket perfectly.

Here are some other pictures of this product. Here you can see how well and professionaly bulbs are build. I did not find any unusual or bad things on bulbs itself. Every part looks in its place and there are no loose particles. The metal looks solid as well as the glass of the bulb. Connectors are strong so it is impossible to break them:

Have tested them with a car. It does look very bright and nice. Those bulbs produce 5000K according to manufacturer and I think it is true because I would not get this amount of light with any other bulbs. In addition bulb glass is UV blocking one and made of quarz. It is produced for 12V 55W power sockets as a standard.

Those bulbs are ideal for city driving as well as on the long roads. It is very easy to install them. What is the best about these bulbs that light emission is very bright despite the fact that power consumption is the same as with standard halogen bulbs which are not as bright as Philips are. Have tested them during night conditions, they are very bright so far.

Am still looking forward to test them on the wet road to see how the light reflects from the wet tarmack. Usually simple halogen bulb performance on wet roads are extremely bad. Light reflection is so low that you can barely see anything. I hope these will be far better than standard ones.

I’ve been using them for only 3 days so far and am really impressed with the light beam. Have checked the bulbs in sockets and I cannot see any damage done by heat or other negative things. So looks like they should have a long lifetime. That’s how the light beam on the outside wall looks.

So as you may see these bulbs are really very good. To sum up I must say it is the product No. 1 for your vehicle’s headlamps. I do not regret that i ordered them and I am in fact extremely happy about these bulbs. Have already ordered couple of spares in case these will dye. Actually the price is so good that it is better to have ordered more of them so that you shouldn’t wait for longer shipping next time.

So if you really need this good quality product for your vehicle and if you want to stand out in the crowd you must simply buy it. Because the price in here is very competetive compared to other products. I would recommend it for everyone who searches for some good looking and perfectly working headlamp bulbs.

I have just received a new item which I needed very much. My old Nokia battery went down so I was not even able to turn the phone ON. That’s why I ordered a new genuine replacement battery for my Nokia e51. This item was ordered on March 22nd and it came to me on April 25th. The order showed as being shipped at 24th of March in my DX account page. So the package took about a month to arrive as usualy.

Now I am really happy and it was worth waiting for it. I chose the standard post service because it is free, although it takes more time to arrive. And so I did not receive the tracking number but actually I didn’t need it. I usually use EMS for more expensive items, so that I could track them all the way to my country and know in what state or place it is at the certain moment. And of course it takes twice as faster to arrive, but costs more money.

So here it is – the item was packed in a standard yellow DX envelope. Please see the picture below:

Inside the DX envelope battery was safely packed in the genuine protective case to ensure no damage is done during the shipping process. Most of DX envelopes are covered with soft material from the inside as standard so it ensures even more safety to the package, it prevents any item from being dropped and smashed. Let’s take this product out of the envelope:

The package itself looks very solid and expensive. I would say it could be very easy to resell it to someone or give it as a gift to your friend. Package relaly looks genuine and I expect it to be original one because the price is not the lowest for this kind of item. It has the transparent plastic encasement and you can clearly see the battery itself inside of it. Let’s take the battery out and take a closer look at it:

In front of the battery we can see all original signs and writings. Its model is BP-6MT which means it is suitable for Nokia phones E51, N82, N81 and maybe some other devices which use the same model. It also has NOKIA sign just like my old broken original one. Battery indicates 3.7 V output power and also has this nice hologram sticker on it.

Let’s have a look at the different side of the battery. It looks the same as the original NOKIA battery, has the same markings and same text. Below are more photos of different angles of the item:

You can see the measurments of the battery are just like the original ones. Its capacity is 1050 mAh. You can find other batteries with more capacity in the market but I do not recommend buying them because there is no guarantee that the phone will be stay ON longer than with the genuine battery. I am always trying to use only original accessories or replacement parts for my phone or laptop PC, because you may never know if they will not make any harm to you device.

Now it is time to test it how it actually works with my good old one Nokia cellphone. I have removed the old battery wekks ago and now prepared the new one received from DX.com:

The battery fitted in my phone perfectly. It was also very easy to take it out. Some batteries especially not the original ones are too loose or it is too difficult to put them in, but in this case everything fits just fine. You can see it in the picture below:

After I took the battery of the package and inserted it in the cellphone I tried to turn it ON. And I was suprised that it was almost fully charged. My phone turned ON easily:

I hope I will be able to use my phone with this battery for more than 3 days without the need of charging it again. It would be the perfect result and I would be very happy with this product. The price is a bit high but I think you get what you pay for. It is obvious that battery is made of the high quality material, is firmly built and looks solid. So I will always say that it is better to pay a bit more and get the better product than pay cents and then request for replacement when it breaks or does not have the functionality you expected.

So as you may see this item is very nice and works just fine. I will try it for next couple of days to see if it is holding as I expect. To sum up I did not find any cons about this product and I would reccomend itfor everyone who owns nokia e51, N81 or N82 phone and wants to replace their old battery. I would also recommend it for those who simply want to have the spare battery and use it to extend the phone’s usage without plugging the charger in.

Today consider the USB flash drive to 16GB USB3.0
It has long been trying to find a USB flash drive capacity of 16 or 32GB, as I often have to flip a decent amount of information. Choose between USB2.0 and 3.0

And after purchasing the laptop, which is standard  and USB3.0, was chosen in favor of USB3.0
Further, the by the known route to DealExtreme ? Consumer Electronics ? Storage USB Flash Drives and chose “Genuine ADATA S102 USB3.0 flash drive” the more it is also compatible with USB2.0 connectors.

Now a little information and pictures:

The first step is to check the amount.
“Screen” of the memory card

* Free Space: 15,797,002,432 bytes or 14.7 GB
For those who do not know a gigabyte = 1024 megabytes

Tested the flash drive at home. Since the special programs I have not. So I took the files (video) size 4.50Gb and copied to the first flash on your computer, then back and timed the a stopwatch.

Calculation formula: volume (in MB) divided by time (seconds) = Speed (MB / sec)

The test result on my laptop (see picture test) my flash drive showed the following results when connected:

to the USB3.0 port
Speed reading is copy data from flash to disk in 81 seconds: 58 MB / sec

Speed write is copy data from disk to memory stick for 140 seconds: 33 MB / sec

to the USB2.0 port
Read speed for 155 seconds: 30.5 MB / sec
Speed write for 220 seconds: 22 MB / sec

As you can see the USB 3.0 interface makes it easier to share files between the flash drive and hard drive computer, and this difference is especially noticeable when reading data from the flash drive.

Of course, I can not make far-reaching conclusions about the advantages of a standard USB 3.0 over its predecessor, the results of my modest test. Yet there are differences, and it is impossible not to notice.

Fashion Sports UV400 UV Protection PC Reflection Lens Sunglasses

There are many different copies and fake Oakley sunglasses that exist and that can be found all over the world. However, there aren’t that many that stand out and actually make themselves a very good copy. These, on the other hand are one of the best I’ve seen.

My buddy Anders bought a pair of real Oakley sunglasses that was much more expensive. Comparing these to the real ones, and me telling you that the sunglasses are 50 times more expensive then these, can give you some perspective of the price.

We met one day and compared them with each other and found that the only difference is in weight, material, and details. These were heavier, the rim was of softer material, and there was less detail on these.

Pros

The material is softer and made of silicone, while the real ones use simple hard plastic
They are Cheaper
The price makes you less afraid of losing or breaking them

Cons

They are slightly heavier, still you don’t notice the weight difference that much
They are still fake and copies
Discoloration on the lenses. Mine had a black dot on the left side. Bad impression.
They say it’s 100% UV protection, but I’m very sure that’s not complitely true, because there is a reason the real glasses cost 50 times more.

OKLEY, well they are a copies so they had to change the name somehow.

Backside, looks very similar to the real ones. On the New Temples there are engraved “Made In The USA”. Very professionally done, I must say!

Some information, about the 100% UV protection and other various info.

Everything’s smooth and nice, shiny and good. Still the info about the sunglasses can be lies?

“Most eyewear lenses block some UV so they can claim “UV protection” but Oakley’s Plutonite? lens material filters out 100% of all UVA, UVB and UVC. The protection is built into the lens material so it can’t scratch off and leave your dilated pupils exposed to a UV leak.”
I have no conclusion for this item. basically because it’s completely up to you to decide if you want to buy these instead of the real ones. If you are going to climb a mountain top or go ice climbing, then buy the real  deal, cause then you’re safe that it’s of good quality and that your eyes are protected. If you are only going for the looks of the sunglasses, the get these, because then you also want worry worry if the break or not.

UV damage builds up over time. You generally don’t feel UV rays, so there is no natural warning that damage is being done. And although clouds reduce the level of UV reaching your eyes, clouds don’t block UV completely — which means your eyes can be exposed to UV rays even on overcast days.
